I'm always blown away by your color choices-- they're consistently GORGEOUS! Really beautiful work; I especially like the heavy drape of the fabric-- instead of those poofy cake-like dresses held up by a hoop-cage, this one feels like it's the amount of fabric itself that gives the dress it's shape. Awesome doll!
Yeah it does, and it often looks better on the skin hehe depending on one's skintone. I didn't have a pure white dress either. Mine was like ivory I believe. I'd have to look at it again for the true shade.
Is this character from your story? The one with the Moon and Sun kingdom?
I kinda wish I had a wedding dress now. ;o; maybe for our 5th aniversary or something I can have a real wedding lol. That was the only downside of the navy. they really jipped me on the wedding thing lol.
And yes. This character is the Mistress of the blond haired guy/king. After his first wife dies he ends up marrying her much to his grief afterwards. (He learns that giving a mistress so much power can go to her head lol.) She's a minerian woman which is why she has the classic blond hair and blue eyes.
I like how you've chose to be inspired by an older style of clothing, makes it feel medieval but also modern too since you've put a bunch of very nice colours together without it being the classic white we all seem to strive for! The make-up I do, especially the eye shadow... I tend to mess it up quite badly and make it look like they've been attacked by a big puff!
Thank you for the lovely comment! And yeah. I didn't want that classic white because the character is more eccentric and gawdy than the average woman. I'm really glad my colors worked out because I was still somewhat worried about them (And i really didn't think changing them would help any.)
And don't worry, I think everyone has a hard time with makeup. >_> its hard to blend pixels and even harder to do so on such a small scale. I hate doing makeup. XD
No problem . Well the dress will fit that type of personality! But really, you shouldn't worry about the colours you choose, they always seem to work really well together. Really! Make-up... evil stuff. I don't really wear it in real-life that's probably why I struggle so much to make it look that good on paper/artwork lol
Lol I wear makeup but I only wear a full face on special occasions. The only thing I wear daily is eye liner and that's because my husband likes how it makes me looks animeish. XD He's such a nerd lol. When I need makeup ideas I mostly just look up stuff on here and in Cosmo. They usually give me good ideas. :3
Same with the full face, I think it's more the laziness to keep putting on and taking it off for me that's why I don't even go to the extent of trying to apply it something small everyday, though I do like to put small amount of foundation and mascara on but last time I did that... I got asked for I.D for alcohol o.o!
>_> omg yes...the whole ritual of having to put it on and off, on and off is annoying. It sometimes feels like why the heck did I put this on in the first place. Though isn't good you got carded? It means you look young. I always get carded...I think I have an innocent face like spongebob or something because no one ever believes I'm old enough for the things I do lol.
Yeah the ritual annoys me too, I want to spend my time on better things like eating, drawing, artwork . And I guess it was good I did but at the same time, you're like "damn! why me?!". Awww, you might be like me when as soon as make-up goes on you look like 16!
XD Well its good to know I'm not the only female who feels like there are better things to do than cover my face with junk lol. And you have no idea about the sadness that is my face. The only different between age 21 and age 5 is that my face is longer. Other than that I still have the round chibi face. @_@ lol! Luckily my husband thinks its cute.
